If a person is dependent on tv for local news and daily soaps... or local sporting events.... then not having a tv in the trailer might be an issue. In that case I recommend a satellite set-up - many have Direct TV. It's expensive though.
However for most anything else, there's a way to do it with a computer. I don't have any tv hookups at all. My computer can play DVDs which I get through Netflix, or if I have wifi I can watch online - tv series, movies, news - I'm not big on soaps or local sports, and any tv series that's only available on cable or whatever... I can wait for it to be released to DVD as they all are, eventually. ;-)
If you're tech-phobic then maybe one of those DVD players with the screen built in on top, or just a cheapo basic little tv screen and little DVD player. I have a little screen like that for when I want to play video games.
