I'm putting in a new wiring harness; soon I will be buying a new towing vehicle with a tow package. I'm not sure about this, but is there a wire that charges the battery when the vehicle is hooked to the trailer? I have this wire in the trailer tagged "HOT"... is that it? The old harness is just hooked to the brake/turn signals/running lights. I don't NEED a wire to charge the battery, but I'm just wondering.

You know, I know a heck of a lot about 17th century English poetry, English grammar, fly fishing and the weather but I know little about electrical configurations in fiberglass trailers!

Thanks!

yes. on the 7 pin Bargman connector, there is a line for charging your battery.
Do a search on our site for hitch wiring, and you should get a lot of hits, its a pretty common topic.
