Honda element

Has anyone towed a Hunter Compact II with a Honda Element? Trailer is just 1500lb dry. Element towing max is 1500lb. No brakes on trailer. U Haul installed tow equipment. No transmission cooler. Friction sway bar came with trailer. Will I kill my car? Is this combination safe? Any tips/ feedback appreciated.

Good day Cyn...... As least one forum member is towing a glass egg with an Element. Hopefully they or others will chime in with some data for you.

We almost bought an 06 Element a couple weeks ago. We really like the utility factor. They ride nice and have lots of power.

Whoops, on review I see that vehicle is a Scion XB. No problem, the Element is even better.

Element/CRV

There's not a lot of difference between a CRV and an Element. We tow a Scamp 16 and have towed a Casita 16 and our son towed a Casita 16 with his Element. Neither vehicle had a problem.

We just drove the road to Harbour Breton in Newfoundland, towing our Scamp 16 over about 130 miles of really rough road, with many steep hills. Ginny calls it the road from h-ll.

Potholds galore for a good part of the road, and dips in both directions of the plane of the road. The Honda did not blink in it's towing task. We did see 5 Moose on the drive, one crossing the road in front of us.

We have found them both to be capable tow vehicles.

Thanks so much everyone! I am feeling a lot better about the Honda as a TV. I love my little boxy car. Now I love my little boxy trailer too.
