How can we reattach Belly Band to Trillium?

Belly band has fallen off one side of our 1975 Trillium, most of the rivets are rotted or missing and falling apart. Is there an easy fix to reattach this? The spring clips are missing. What can we use as a replacement clip? Another member shared a pic of the setup. We are rookies.

Do a Search Site / Google from the search tab on Trillium Belly Bands. You should find many threads on various fixes.

Probably the best fix is to remove it completely, fill with fiberglass and repaint.

The Trillium belly band seems to be a common leak point. I agree with Spanke, besides I like that look. OR, fill the holes and put the belly band back on with 3M VHB tape.
