I am restoring a 1980 Bigfoot-the inside is done and now we are onto the cosmetics of the outside. The awning is trash but before I even venture into pulling it off I want to ask anyone who has done it what is the best way. This whole project has been way more than I ever thought but now I have a very nice comfortable little trailer that I am slowly falling in love with. I Don't want to screw it up now.
I am looking at an encased awning rolled up inside a long metal tube and it is NOT on an awning rail, HELP-thanks to anyone who can guide me, Roidon

Are you saying that it is a case awning (like on a Casita) and not a roll-up awning (like on an Escape) ?

Pictures of it would help us help you...
