I would like to remove the frame from my 85 scamp 16. Any hints from someone who has already done this?
It appears that the floor is screwed to the frame from the inside with deck screws, which are quite rusty.
Help.

YUP- - -I think you are the right track. On my 13 (about the same era) I found hex headed sheet metal (self tappers, 1/4 " diamter, 7/16" wrench/socket required) hidden in several places. Inside the dinette seats down alongside the water tank, in the closet, under the gaucho.
All in spots that require a contortionest (sp?)... Since I wasn't taking the body off, I din't hunt all of them down. Just replaced with fresh ones as I found them. I can expect that some if not all will be stubborn to remove. If they round off on attempts to remove, I would take my die grinder after them--- after soaking down the area so an unfriendly spark will not give you a surprise.
hope this helps. Larry
