hunter help needed / walls HELP

hey,
finally trailer in yard and ready for dismantle and restoration. everything pretty much worked out on paper (plan, parts, etc). ordering new door/tinted windows - adding inverter/converter n solar, water - clean and grey water with sink/pump, new cusions/sunbrella, all new birch cabinets, new stove/oven/power exhaust vent, led recessed ext lights, led int. lights, 2 questions:

that awful upholstry diamond like material throughout ....its going! any suggestions on replacement or different materials? the bare walls pretty rough and short on ideas!

the frame looks "ok" except some minor rust. plan seperation and inspection, sand blast and here's the question: powder coat vs. linex like material vs. galvanized dip ? thoughts ? if i go with linex like, would spray frame once boddy on - second coat for floor etc.

thanks for input !!!! target completion date 6/1 - the more responses the better.

thanks AGAIN

JOHN

John, you can get nice headliner material from any auto upholstery shop. Has foam backing cleans fairly well and comes in lots of colors. 60" wide. I paid $15 a yard tax included. Haven't installed mine yet, still working on electrical.

Gosh, I like the diamond pattern...

You have different kinds of options... reflectix and rat fur like the Scamps, etc. But I think this idea is totally cool! http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ion-46674.html

What about using cork? Won't rot..good insulation and doesn't need rat fur over it.

Since it sounds like you are doing a complete restoration, I am a believer in galvanizing--it will last forever.

If you decide to go that route sandblast all the paint off, ignore any surface rust, carefully repair and damaged areas and remove the axles, brake lines, wiring and other bolted on stuff and drop it off. It is particularly important to get all the old paint off. The hot tank will get off all the surface rust. The results will be amazing.

If it wasn't so much work, I do my Silverado frame.
