identifying my camper

I purchased a 13ft trailer yesterday. The person I bought it from says its a burro. From all the pics Ive seen it looks like a scamp to me. What are the differences in the two and how do I positively identify it?

Easy way to tell is the Scamp has the seam where the two halves join around the middle. The Burro has the seam vertically so it goes up and over the roof and back down the other side. If you post a picture that would be best or just google Burro, they are quite distinctive. Congratulations!

Wonder if the seller was confusing Burro with Boler…? Bolers do look very similar to Scamps, especially if all identifying logos are removed. Bolers have a pole in the center of the kitchen counter supporting the upper cabinets. Scamps use a twisty metal support on the end of the counter.

thats the first thing i noticed was the seam and the tail light placement. It's rough and someone tried to paint a cammo theme on it with spray paint. I havent looked for a VIN yet. I will post a pic shortly.

No pole or twisty metal in Scamp's usual place. Frame doesn't look right for Scamp, either. Looks like carpet on walls and double slider window on back. Casita, maybe??

perhaps some batter photo's, maybe showing all 4 sides might help people identify it...what does the title or paperwork say?

Looking at that orange carpet, I say it's a Casita, like an early 1980s! As far as I know, they were the only manufacturer to use that color carpet inside the trailer.

I haven't spotted any older 13ft Casitas with that tiny front window, but the 13ft Scamps with front bathrooms have them. Not saying its a Scamp, but wondering if anyone has a photo of an older Casita with that tiny front window

My sister was looking at that camper too. I told her it wouldn't last but she seemed to think it was soo ugly that no one would want it. Lol.

I like it because it would give me the freedom to paint it as wild as I wanted.

Awesome! I had already offered up my help to her to fix that one up since mine is done and I needed a new project before school starts up again. Lol

She will keep looking. Maybe now she will believe me that these things get snatched up fast.

Good luck. Hope to see at a rally. I'm in San Antonio , Texas.

I am North of Dallas about 60 miles. I have a brother that lives in Boerne. Love that area. If I didnt have family I would definitly be relocating to the hill country.

I still think it's a Casita, they used that sculpty carpet. The one I saw, the carpet was a kinda burnt orange though. And, I know they did it in a light blue as well. Michele had a 1985 13' Casita with a front bathroom (small window in front), but I can't find the interior pictures.
