Major Bummer!

Hope it does turn up, possibly someone will attempt to title it after purchase and sec. of state will find the vin as stolen.

One tip I got years ago was to engrave drivers license # in an out of the way location, and even hide business card or name and address someplace. If someone changes the vin or even strips it for parts there is still some proof that you are the owner. Car chop shop got busted due to a business card dropped into each door.

The guy that owns Happier Camper out in Calif. had a Boler stolen and they thought his business made the camper so they called him to find out what it was worth. Even with the callers phone number (a cell phone) they could not locate the caller.

I'll certainly be on the lookout for a Casita with white paint repair under the door handle. Would be more than happy to help Karma along with any trailer thief.

It could show up anywhere in the country for sale. If they are dumb enough to put it on CraigsList here is where you can do a search for "Casita" through out all CraigsLists in the US

All of Craigslist

Unlikely they could sell it without the title though. Maybe they are (or used to be) homeless.

As I mentioned earlier, as of last week Happier Camper has not recovered either of the two Eggs that were stolen.

Just a thought, because I don't know how Craigslist or any sight like that work, but could someone list a camper on there as stolen? Just thinking it might be worth a try.

Good Luck! Another camping sight that i am on,someone had their camper stolen and did get it back.

Correction- repaint area is on the right of the door (see pic)

Correction- damage repaint area is on the right of the door instead of under the door handle (See photo: Casita 1-1).
We replaced all tires including spared tire and its cover. The cover now is all white without any words on it.

Some nice people relied me with good advises, so I am adding more photos.

Thank you, all.

This whole thing makes me ill. And there are parts of our country where you only need a bill of sale? I'm so glad Oregon requires a Title to transfer ownership and licensing.

Post this everywhere you can. Facebook... everywhere, let's get this trailer home.

Lynn, I've seen a number of listings on Craigs that ask for help finding a stolen item, even with pictures. Do it as it can't hurt.

I just saw a post on Facebook about a 25' sticky camper being stolen out of someones driveway in CA. According to the picture it sat in a nice housing development area. It had a for sale sign on it. All they knew was a pickup towed it away.

It's not that difficult me thinks.
I had a 16' boat in my carport on a trailer. Asked my buddy to store it at his place. He came over when I was out of town and hoisted it up with a derrick, plopped it down on his flatbed truck and drove away. The whole thing, boat and trailer.

Glenn, what a sad story about a "friend" doing you a favor. Did you ever get it back ?
On another note I just remembered a neighbor I had years ago that worked as a welder for a trailer manufacturing company. He had a speed boat in his driveway too but had modified the coupler on the trailer. Basically he cut off the ball connector and made up what was about the same as a regular 2" receiver hitch but 3 or 4" that he would slide in and pin. He kept the stinger end in the garage. I always thought it was a pretty good theft deterrent
idea. Wouldn't work with someone using a derrick though, that's deturmination.

Not sad. My buddy came and got it. He had access to the truck and equipment.
Hauled it over to Vancouver Island for storage and then sold it for me.

This is listed as a 2011, but states a small blemish. Could be listed as wrong year. Not trying to get your hopes up, but stranger things have happened.

And *poof* that listing is gone. Makes it look pretty suspicious. You might want to get a hold of Craigslist and see if they can help.

The party with the stolen trailer should give the info - link re craigslist to the Police who are handling the file. Craigslist will work with the police...

This was listed yesterday on Ocala Craigslist. Only one picture, the spare is plain white, no printing on it. In case they take down the listing again here is the info

Did the one in Texas have the extra cover on the forward roof vent? I can't see it in her pics. Because so many FGRV's are so much alike it's important to keep a photographic record of any difference's on each unit.

BTW: Craig's list is of very little help to anyone. Without a court order they won't do squat, and even with one the perps will be long gone before they do.....

Google the phone number. That same number has at least 3 RV for sale, looks like a dealer.

Look for others in Ocala here: "" Search RV Listings
