Well I have just got my new axle from Scamp. I was just wanting to make sure that I am suppost to cut the old one out...? It looks like from the new one that you can bolt it on, so it was a little confusing.

From what it looks like, all I need to do is cut the 2 sides of the old from the frame, Then weld the new one in. Should I weld the new one in, or bolt it...? Which one is better and/or easier.?

Thanks!

Putting a new axle on an old S13 is confusing if the old axle was leading arm and the new axle is trailing arm. In that case you need to modify the frame after removing the old axle in order to install the new one. A member of the Yahoo Scampers group (Dan, aka havingfunin00) did this mod and posted his experience there, so I'd suggest searching for his posts.

His photo album is on the Mods+ group.

If you want to bolt the axle, it can be done. Either with side mount attachment (SMA) brackets or directly to the frame using the top bolt holes. To see how I did that to my 91S19 last year, check out my photo album on the Mods+ group.
