My Bolers insulation is hanging low. How do I get it to stick back on?

Thanks
Sarah

Sarah,

I used construction adhesive to glue something onto the ensolite, so I bet that will work.

I used "Marine Goop" on my old Boler successfully

I found it depends on how much is hanging, how long it has been hanging and how much it has shrunk.
I tried 3M's Super 77 spray on adhesive as suggested by someone in some spots and it worked, but not in others. I understand Super 90 is stronger, I now see they make a FoamFast 74 that is meant for gluing foam. Wish I had tried it.

For those spots that would not hold with the Super 77, like the rear 1/2 of the ceiling that had been hanging for 10 or more years, I used PL Premium with a fine notched trowel.

In all cases, I found it beneficial to hold the Ensolite in place using memory foam and a peice of plywood so the lining would conform to the body curves while the glue set.

Well I'm going to buy some "Marine Goop" . Its a shame though that I will have to pop holes through out the insulation to get it to stick back up. How do you fix the holes? caulking of some sort?

Do you have a seam close by? You might be able to pull down a little more ensolite and reglue from there.

Having a 2nd look at the picture makes me think that you might have a rivet holding the cabinets that can be used.

If you can't get in near a seam, cauling will blend in if it's a small hole.
If it's just the area inside the cabinet that you are doing, maybe you could cut it near the front inside of the cabinet and then repair with the caulking, no one will see the patch there.
ETA Also, you are going to have to rig something up to hold the ensolite in place while the glue dries.
