insulation lifespan limited?
Every time I look at the ceiling insulation in our Boler17, that I painstakingly scrubbed and painted, there is another bubble where it is not stuck to the roof anymore! I don't remember all these problems last summer. One friend had suggested we strip it all out, and use a new product for insulation, but we like original, and that also seems like an enormous job! Hubby bought a 3M headliner spray adhesive, but the fine print says "Not for foam." Does the foam ceiling, ensolite just deteriorate, and split apart after 30 years? Is this what we can expect to continue...groan. Any ideas and helpful advice apprec iated.

There are two products which were used by Boler, and they were very different. When considering suggestions, be sure that you have the same stuff they do.
The usual Ensolite is black rubber closed-cell foam with a tough textured skin; it is sometimes called "elephant hide". The other material is a soft yellow open-celled poly foam with a thin "popcorn" textured skin.

Oh, thanks Brian. I have the popcorn, as you can see in the photo, with the open cell, now more open, I guess, foam. You have a Boler 17, don't you? Is the same thing happening?

Actually, I can't see the photo (or the other photos in your other posts)... I don't know if it's just me.
I do have areas coming unglued in my popcorn foam. Sorry... no fix. I pulled some away from the fiberglass to install a roof vent and a light; in those cases, I had access and sprayed a 3M adhesive to re-attach it.

okay, thanks again. I can see the photos in the middle of my thread, but it's the first time I have done photos. If others can let me know if my pictures are invisible. Thanks!
