Interior height Scamp 13

Specs say 6'3" which is ideal as I am 6'2" and Casita's are a touch short....

Perhaps the late model 13' Scamps use different molds, but the distance from my bare wood floor, to the center of the ceiling, in my 1978 Scamp 13 is 6-feet period.

Nothing beats a first hand (head?) inspection!

I have learned to take Scamp specs with a grain of salt. My 2014 13footer (no air conditioner) measures 73.25 inches from the vinyl floor to the ceiling. At least the ceiling is nice and cushy if you bump it.

Bill, newer ones are a bit taller, starting 2007. A factory fire in early 2006 destroyed the molds and precipitated the change. The factory came back online in late 2006. A pretty amazing recovery in my book and a welcome change. I'm not particularly tall myself, but I like the spacious feeling. And, of course, it means more people now fit.

The older Scamp 13' trailers were a bit shorter, around 6' to 6'1", Post fire trailers are 2 to 3" taller. The fire was January 2006.

I have a scamp 13' and I am 6'2" tall. I also added vinyl flooring over the existing carpet. If I stand as tall as I can, I can feel my hair rub on the ceiling (and my hair does not nicely lay down). However, in practical use it never touches and I never think about it or worry about it. Part of it may be that most of the time in the trailer I am usually looking down at the stove, counter, closet, which effectively reducing my height. It is not like there is a lot standing or walking room in the 13'. The height is sufficient for me. YMMV.

Sometimes being not-tall is an advantage!

Being 5' 7" tall, I am quite happy with the ceiling height of my older Scamp!

Compared to the ceiling height of any of my sailboat cabins, the Scamp is a very nice improvement! Just think...soon I will be able to put on my jeans...standing up! As well, as doing other things!

Coming from a tent camping background, there is something luxurious about being able to put on your pants while standing and your shoes while sitting. Yup!
