IPod Player

We have a small IPod music player and needed something to play it on.

We were checking out of Walmarts and I spotted this little 'EGG'. It fits in your hand, collapses into an 'EGG' and expands into a speaker.

It has a rechargeable battery, rechargeable via a USB port, supposedly adequate for 8 hours of music. It comes with a USB cord for recharging. Additionally it contains a cord for plugging into you source of music. The cord has a spring retracter and rewinds into the 'EGG'.

It costs $14. I wish I bought two.

Hi Norm and Ginny,
I found an ipod player on Amazon...
It's a Cyber Acoustics Portable Digital Docking Speaker that costs $33, but I do like the sound quality even when the volume is turned up. It runs on 110 (charging the ipod while it's playing), and on 4 AA batteries that seem to last a good long time.
I actually bought two of them because, after a year, I thought I lost the first one. Of course, I found the first just shortly after I bought the second (except I couldn't locate its adapter which cost almost as much as the dock to replace ). No. 3 Son benefited from the find as he got the new one and I kept the old one.

My stereo is too old to have a usb port and too big to take camping, so this little unit works best for me.
