Does anyone have experience with this?

My Scamp Standard has fiberglass upper cabinets over the kitchen sink and stove top and (ugly) wood-look (particle board with wood-print paper covering) over the dinette. The dinette cabinets stop about 4" short of the fiberglass uppers in the kitchen.

I'd like to replace the wood cabinets with ash or birch plywood ones. Is there any reason why I can't also extend them so their ends are flush with the ends of the fiberglass uppers in the kitchen?

I wonder if the wood cabinets were an add-on AFTER the trailer was delivered? The people that I purchased my Scamp from had ordered a new one from the factory and the wood cabinets "touched" the fiberglass galley cabinets. So, if they come from the factory that way, don't know why you can't make 'em that way.

The only reason I would be leary...we travel down many miles of dirt roads to get to our favorite camping spot so I expect some movement/flexing from the egg. The fiberglass would tend to flex whereas the wood would be rigid.
