Jump-It Info (Dated)

Hey folks,

I was confused on what one of these were until I actually saw one. I was thinking these were those square, cardboard made chargers that are used in emergencies ususally (I saw one of those on QVC).

I went to Walmart yesterday and came up empty. For whatever reason, they didn't have them at my local one, but the mechanics had one. They carried thier name brand (whatever that was) for sale.

I went to Sears today and saw their brand on sale through Sunday for $75. I believe theirs also did not have the AC outlet.

Finally, I got on Costco.com and found what I am buying. It does have an AC outlet and also a $20 rebate through Sunday (6/15). It is only available online (I tried calling my local Costco to see if they had it). With the rebate, it goes for $59.99 (plus S&H).

Xantrex

That looks like a keeper, Dave, but having no access to Costco I checked other sources for Xantrex and came up with what I think is a good alternative. Similar Xantrex, slightly higher capacity (I think), plus it has the built in compressor ''on sale'' at Amazon.com for $99.00 and free shipping. Xantrex has a good reputation for making innovative electronics products. One thing I noticed is that both of these models have AGM batteries rather than conventional sealed lead-acid batteries--wouldn't that be a ''plus'' feature over some of the competing brands? Xantrex is a Canadian company with manufacturing facilities in the U.S. They also market under other brand names, including Trace.

Batery pak

This is my reservr power pak I bought it at Cullman Alabama several years ago and use it to power my TV and computer Also have used it several times when someone has a dead batery I loaned it to a fellow camper last year whose main batery went dead and he used it for 4 days to power refrig controls pump and limited lighting. You must disconect main batery first. Cost $56.00

Oh great George, now I see that one? :)

The built in air compressor is a nice feature. Guess I will have to do without and carry my little compressor along with me seperately. I can just plug mine into my power pack or use the tow vehicle.

That is a good deal though.
