Just bought a boler...omg what have i done

Here I am in North Vancouver Lynn Valley area with a newly purchased 1976 boler. Anybody around the area able to drop in for a coffee and help me discuss the good the bad and the ugly? I like projects and this should be an interesting one ! I'm a rookie in the Boler worls but learn really fast and make great coffee !

OMG YOU DONE GOOD!!!
Easy to work on fun to camp in.
I won't be around your place till Christmas when we will be in Coquitlam to see the most beautiful girl in the world, our 18 month old granddaughter!
All the build threads here will have you versed in all aspects of your boler in no time.
And I love coffee too,,,

Congratulations on your "new" Boler, Pat!

Have you seen member Ian G's Boler Buyer's Guide? It might help you to assess what needs to be done.

If you post some pictures, I'm sure you'll get some recommendations as well. Besides, for those of us too far away to drop in for coffee, we'd at least like to see your prize!

Happy camping!

you are going to have so much fun. The thing about these little rigs is how big a problem can you have....OK< that was in jest, but only sort of. Can't wait for pictures. We are in Carolina....so no coffee for us. But I will suggest a thermal french press for travel.

Congrats Pat!! You will find we have a fair number of Boler, Bigfoot, Escape and Scamp owners hanging out on the North Shore.

I would be happy to answer what questions I can or point you in the right direction to who might have a better answer.

I am just heading to Lake Louise to work at a ski race until mid Dec.... then the Christmas rush is on. Could meet up with you in the New Year if another NS party does not step up first. Send a PM if you wish to get together.

Cool Posting picture

You have to go to 'advanced'.

Scroll down and click 'manage attachments'.

Pretty self explanatory from there.

My frame is the big question mark...

Looks to have been reinforced a while back and it tows with lots of bounce on side roads. Torsion Suspension probably needs to be replaced? As for the frame, dunno....

The link in post #3 tells you in detail where to look and what to look for, and even has pictures, if I recall correctly.

I think the frame/axle is shot. That's a huge expense/work I wasn't expecting.
