Just got a 1976 Scamp and starting with body and windows

Hello everybody,

I finally scored a gutted out 1976 Scamp. There are several holes and the windows are worn or missing. I'm interesting in learning how to obtain replacement windows and how to install them. I'm also interested on how to seal fiberglass.

Jay

Hi Jay, to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here!

If you've been a reader of the forums, you know we love pictures. Have any to share? It's always fun to follow along on a rebuild from beginning to end.

Thanks Donna, just figured out how to do that. It looks like it just returned from Desert Storm but it will soon be transformed.

Definitely needs a new axle. About $600 - get one with brakes, you will not regret it.

I might have to paint it. It looks like someplace Rommel may hang out in in the North African Theater.

So, I checked out the Scamp site and I didn't find any way of ordering older scamp windows. Have scamp window sizes stayed the same where new windows will work in old openings? Does anybody have a good resource on window replacement for a 1976 Scamp?
