Hi all,

I decided to replace my kitchen strainer in my 2003 Casita SD. It was looking kinda ratty:

In removing my sink I realized I needed to re-seal it to the counter better when I put it back in. The clips were kinda rusty:

My question to you is, should I add plumber's putty to the botom edge of the sink or silicone caulk before placing the sink back?

I'm thinking I should leave the factory gasket in place. Yes?

Thanks for any help.

If it were me I'd use Byutal tape between the counter top and the sink.

Well I googled it and checked with some tape supplier websites but couldn't find byutal. Is this like VHB tape or foam tape?

Sorry about my spelling, it's butyl tape. CampingWorld carries it here
