leaking refrigerator vent

Hi, I am experiencing for the 3rd time a leaking refrigerator vent on a Bigfoot 2005 25Ft TT. At 3 yrs I tore out caulk and replaced between rainstorms on the road and that worked, for 2 years. Then I used Eternabond tape and that lasted 1 year. Seems like I am getting less service each time. I am also wondering if the rain isn't blowing in the little holes along the edge of the vent cover. Anyone have a better cover (Dometic refrigerator) ? Thanks!!

Is this a wind-driven leak or something that only happens with the trailer in motion? I am trying to imagine how else this might happen. Is it the lower (usually) hinged vent or the upper? Got a photo?

Hi Dennis,
If you figured out a good fix, let me know. I replaced the butyl tape on my side vent
last summer and now it leaks worse than ever.
