We use the BAL leveler with great success
No need to go back and forth with the trailer.

BAL leveler fan here. Levels and chocks at the same time. On soft ground, I recommend putting something under the tire first.

Been using wood under the stabilizers. On one border crossing, border guards took offense to the wood citing "disease vector" or something of the sort.
