Light Problem

I just bought a 97 13' Scamp a couple weeks ago and my family made it's maiden voyage this past weekend in Sequim WA at Dungeness State Park......everything works great except the exterior porch light, and the two lights over the rear dinette. The two lights on each end of cabinet above the stove and sink work fine as well as the light under the same cabinet. The bulbs are fine in the lights that don't work. Any suggestions? Thank you and I really enjoy this website....very helpful. Happy Scamping!!!!

Hi Jeremy and welcome. Here's what I would do:

1- check for blow fuses in the converter.
2- wiggle the light bulb in the socket. If it lights you have a dirty contact.
3- work the switch on and off to see if the lamp lights. If you get a flicker you have a dirty switch. I'd use contact cleaner on that.
4-pull the fixture looking for a bad connection.
5- check the connections at the converter.

With multiple light not working my bet it's 1 or 5

From this point it gets more involved . Good luck, Raz

Could they be 110 lights and you were running off 12 volt... or vice versa?

Also double check if you have a mix of 12volt and 110volt lighting. Maybe the 110 is working but the 12v is not, or vice versa.
