Has anyone ever had this happen? The lights, both LEDs and incandescent lights started "pulsing" brighter and dimmer. Doesn't happen with the fluorescent light (not part of the 12volt system)
Any ideas? It stopped when we weren't plugged into the mains.

Well, to continue with the pulsing lights...........it stopped when I heard a "pouff" and a puff of smoke next to the fuse box, a red light came on ,then off and now the lights are working properly, but something obviously isn't. Any suggestions?

Apparently it passed the smoke test with only one pouff!

I'm not the type to go blithely on my way without thoroughly investigating, even though the lights are now working properly. Guess it is a flaw in my personality.

My guess is the converter.

Disconnect the battery and see if you still have lights with just the converter.

Or if you have a multi meter read the battery voltage with the converter on, Then do the same with the converter off.

If there is no change then your converter is not working.

I'd start by looking a little closer at everything where you seen the puff of smoke. Could be a fire waiting to start.
