Like to see a Scamp 5th Wheel

Well my wife is finally going to win, I need to get a bigger and better trailer. She would like something around a 24 or 26 foot but I still want to go fiberglass. I told her I am still going to keep the Trillium no matter what.

Is there anyone nearby (Dayton Ohio) that has a fifth wheel who would let us look at theirs. I have time because I will soon be leaving the AF and hope to get a job before looking to buy, just need to convince Ellie that this will be big enough

Thanks

If you don't get a response here, you could call Scamp for their list of people willing to show their trailer...

Hi Steve Maybe a compomise would be a 21' or 25' Bigfoot? Still molded fiberglass and closer to the size the wife is interested in? Price doesn't get much better than this! FOR SALE 2003 ( bought new in 2005) 25’ Bigfoot Trailer.. Priced to Sell (25B25R) $19,000

I probably will give in to Ellie and get something that big but at 7000 lbs I'm thinking empty pockets for gas and large tow vehicle. I don't plan on living from it for any length of time because William is only 7 yrs old now. I just want something that would be easy to tow and I would be able to afford. We never looked in a Scamp 5th wheel and I think it would be big enough for us. I already contacted Scamp for info and I will do it again to see if they know of someone nearby, just throwing it out here first. I'm thinking worse case senario, I'll look at a 16ft with a layout of 4 or 5 because it should be the same except for the upper bunk.

My friend is talking about going to Alaska with his wife and trailer and I invited ourselves to tag along. He finally gave in, I think he was inviting us along anyways, but this trip is 2 yrs out so I do have time to find something or fix the Trillium up. I don't want to end up with a 35 1/2 Ft 5th wheel with a full size dually diesel pickup that sits all the time except when camping like my brother. There is no chance of him seeing this post so I'm good.
