When I tore it off it was glued so much it came off in pieces.. It had wood paneling with some kind of vinyl wall paper that was coming off and the paneling was coming apart.. I just don't understand why the used wood paneling.. I on the other hand plan to use FRP Fiberglas panels in Almond it matches pretty good and will never rot.... I've got a load of pictures but I plan to wait until I have a lot more done before I start posting because I'm so busy right now I don't get to do much... Thanks Guys

I have similar trim in mine. Some of it I plan to replace with some aluminium trim/extrusion. But maybe not the one by the bathroom door as the aluminium would be thicker at interfere with the door, I would have to check first.

What if you had the aluminum C channel and then wrapped it with wood grain? A wall paper wood grain or something. Or could just paint brown with some texture. I found this but it's a tad expensive when sold by the ton!! http://www.alibaba.com/product-detai...829173298.html

Keep the suggestions coming not found what I'm looking for yet but getting closer I "THINK" then again maybe not.... But I've got a little time before I'm going to need it so hopefully someone will come up with something out there or I'll work it out some way....

Randy,

Have you had any success finding the cap your looking for? I too am trying to find a vinyl trim cap that looks exactly like the picture you posted.

The keywords needed to find the molding itself are "plastic U channel"

The first thing to do is take measurements of the original trim and also figure out how many feet of length you need. You can't find a match unless you have those width and leg height dimensions.

For the wood grained vinyl to put onto your molding just go to Ebay and type in the keywords "wood grain adhesive vinyl", it comes in rolls in various widths and lengths and types of faux wood grains.

Never found it......Ended up using the FRP Panels (Fiberglas Reinforced Panels) in Almond color with the trims that come with the panels.. was a real pain in the bitt but it worked out... I've got several pictures of this one being renovated and plan on posting them pretty soon, just been too busy to get a lot done on it so I was waiting on getting more done before I post my progress.....

Taco makes a lot of moldings and trim bits. When I worked at West Marine we kept a catalog. There are probably other places that sell some of these oddball parts.
