May need help in returning my Scamp 5th wheel

Not sure just how to approach this problem we have. I am from New Port Richey Fl. started out on my 8000 mile camping trip out west. My 2008 Dodge Dakota stopped running while on I10. Lost all power. It started again got it to dodge dealer in Pensacola. They could make it fail but could not find anything definite wrong, guessing a power module which they don't make anymore or the Brain. No guarantee but $1200.00 up front. My problem is I have towing insurance for my camper AAA, but know one can tow it because of the goose neck style hitch. My question to you Fiberglass RVers if I break down in the area again is there someone that would be able to take my camper to a safe location. I am would reward for the service. Thanking you in advance. Bob Hyser 727-808-0507

Do you have the new style hitch that fits in regular 5th wheel rails? If not you should make that update asap if for no other reason than that hitch will fit in any truck with Reese style hitch rails.

Lots of trucks can tow it with your hitch on their rails. Where are you going out west?

There are several companies that rebuild defective computers that are obsolete - usually runs about $300. I had it done for a 1993 Mustang - took about a week and was just like new. It helps to give them any codes that come up and describe the issue it is doing - send them your computer and they send your computer back fixed --OR they may have the right one already in stock and take yours on exchange (core charge would apply until it is confirmed to be correct)

If you have insurance to get your camper home then have them put it on a lowboy or rollback

Just went through this with my Envoy, GM stopped production of the ECM(apparently several years ago), my envoy started having a series of no-starts, seemed like a faulty battery or starter, ended up being faulty ECM- connectors were rotten.
I got one from a wrecking yard and had it programmed to my vin, have had no issues since it was done in December.
