More of a question than a problem

I have a 21rb Bigfoot and there is a toggle switch next to the small storage area to the left of the table...when I have a generator attached charging the battery and this toggle is switched it causes the generator to speed up like it is drawing more power but I can't see where the power is going, the toggle seems to do nothing and I wonder is anybody knows what this toggle is for, I can't find anything in the owners manuel...the toggle is a rocker type toggle, red in color...thanks in advance...bob

I also have a Bigfoot 21RB, but I don't have such a switch in that location - sorry - can't help.

Hi Robert, welcome to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here

Hopefully other Bigfoot owners can give you some info... or maybe it's time to trace the wires.

I don't own a Bigfoot, but would love, love, love to have a Silver Cloud!!

I have one in my trailer as well it powers the front outside lights above the propane tanks. Yours may do the same.

Do you have a water heater? and if so, does it have an electric heating rod in it?

I retrofitted a heat rod to my heater and installed a switch similar to this with a red pilot light so I would know when it is turned on. Reason: You will ruin the heat rod should the tank be empty and the rod turned on.

Go and look at your water heater on the outside and if you see wires attached where the drain should be, you have a rod installed.
