Mounting air conditioner

Some months back I recall someone who had replaced his front mount air conditioner. Photos were supplied. I need some of you really sharp people to help me remember where the heck I saw that.
I tried a search here but , alas couldn't find it.
It may have been on some other site.
I have finally convinced the wife to let me remove the frig that is too small and mount an air conditioner in that spot along with a small 700 watt mivrowave ( hoping the 800w /1600w peak converter could run it).
I was interested in the photo shots for insulation, etc details.
Thanks in advance from one who will never again have to camp for a week in 98 degree temp ( Oh boy, yippee),

Air conditioner replacement

If it is the one that I am thinking of, it was here and not too long ago. I think he even did some mods to the vent to help with air circulation.

Let me take a look and see what I can come up with.

Hey, Pete, that's my line! In fact, I'm not doing much better than you are. :splat

One thing I do know. It was here. I'm just not sure where or what the key word is. I'm gonna go look some more.....:P

I found where Steven Colli fixed the drip from his front mount AC, but I agree with y'all: somebody actually took out the AC and replaced it. I remember them discussing bumping out the floor of the closet above... and that wasn't part of Steve's post(s).

It was me

In the Care and feeding forum I wrote up a piece on replacing the front AC in my 2000 16'SD It is called something like "notes on replacing the front A/C in a 16' SD" :) it's on the first page of that forum. I do remember another post were someone added an AC and I believe it was in the side of a trailer and it had a picture with it. Basically you want the front end facing in the trailer and the back end tilted downward (drain) and sealed around the back so the hot air is all forced out then you'll need to be able to draw fresh air into the sides and top of the unit. If you have any specific questions I might be able to answer let me know.

Bill
