Could be that as we age, we pay less attention to dates.

John JM--

Thx for posting those picture of the mini bike and scooter mountings! Do you have any more detailed photos or diagrams/descriptions that would give me a better idea of exactly how these are mounted?
I just completely rebuilt (and modified for better looks/speed/torque) a moped from the ground up and would love to take it camping with us. It can easily fit into my full size van- but I'd rather not expose the family to the inevitable gas stink of having a moped in the van for extended 2+ hour drives. .

Here is how we roll..

There is actually 3 dirt bikes on the trailer, and a 4 wheeler and generator under the camper shell in the truck

Sure!
That would work...so long as one doesn't exceed the "towing capacity/rear hitch weight limit" for the trailer!

What do you suppose that number is for the average fiberglass trailer?

There have been several discussions already regarding towing multiple trailers - why not go back to those instead of rehashing the subject here, where it does not address the original topic of carrying a motorcycle (rather than towing one)?

Of the previous 14 posts, only one has been relevant to to topic.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Yes! I extended the tongue on my Scamp and added a motorcycle ramp/rack. Towed with both a Honda Trail and separately with Tw 200 on the rack. Barley noticed the additional weight. No issues

I was thinking of getting a motorcycle rack like the one the OP wanted to use, and mounting it on the tongue of my Escape 17b. I'm pretty sure during assembly the aluminum rack is bolted to the bar that goes in the receiver so I could just omit that. Did you experience any problem with the bike being too close to the tow vehicle? I'd be putting an ebike on it so weight won't be an issue; Escape allows for a front box and contents anyway.
