Tonight we tried to move our Surf Side TM14 (newly purchased) into our garage with a 7ft door. Anyone out there who isn't a rookie is chuckling to themselves since it didn't fit! We took off the wheels and had it on dollies but no go. We have about 2 inches that we need to gain and it would probably squeeze in. It's so close!! The next idea is to remove the whole wheel axel off and put dollies on the frame? Any suggestions since we are really just guessing at this point. We want to be able to renovate it in the garage and don't trust it not to be stolen from our property in the city. Thank you for your help
Have you tried taking the top vent cover off also? To get our trillium 4500 in the garage we have to remove the vent cover, put on an old set of bare rims, and push up the garage door so it doesn't hang down into the opening. It just fits through the garage door.
Our neighbor is able to get his tall camper van in his garage after taking off a piece of deorative trim on the top portion of his garage door opening. No such luck for us.

Hi Robin, just a couple ideas. Remove anything off the roof will give you a bit extra. You say you tried dollies but some members have made custom ones that were lower than store bought ones. The last thing would be to remove the top 2x above your garage door to gain an extra 1 1/2". PITA for sure but it may make the difference for you. Don't know if you have brakes or not but removing the drums would also give you an extra 1/2".
