Must the Scamp have internal wall & roof support? Input appreciated!

Hi All,
So here's my question: can the large side closet (next to the door), and the sink/stove/icebox cabinet across from the door, along with the roof cabinet & supports above it, be safely removed w/o comprising the strength of the camper? I am toying with an "open concept" 13' and would like to know if this will work. I get conflicting reports from the good folks as Scamp. I see that Justin Aasland (?) posted pics of a wooden cabinet he built to replace the stove/icebox cabinet, and I am thinking of something similar.
I greatly appreciate your help here!

Bert

I have bought a couple of Scamps which were gutted... Support is needed for shell rigidity.

You could remove it, short-term, but must replace it with something equally supportive before the trailer can be used.

Well, okay, I guess that settles the matter.
Kind thanks for the feedback.
Now on to plan B.....

Bert, I don't know what your thinking for an end design. But, if it's a true gut job... with no wall covering, have you considered adding supports from one wall across the ceiling and to the other wall? I'd put in several. You could probably even use rebar and bend it to shape if you have a metal brake tool.

Yeah, sorta like the hoops of a covered wagon holding up the canvas. One owner made a cargo trailer out of a 16' Scamp, with custom-shaped wood spars providing support.
