Hi: All...I found washing foams with Cascade Dishwasher Detergent best. Low sudsing and contains bleach. I put them in the bathtub one at a time...rinced well and rolled 'em in old beach towels. Air dry on a rack for several days.
I also got some Concrobium Mold Control Eliminate, Clean & Prevent Mold with Concrobium Mold Removal Products...but it's too cold outside to use it yet.

Just so everybody knows... UHauls don't have gray or black water tanks. The gray water goes out a drain on the side underneath and needs to be captured or routed to a ground drain. The porta-potti collects the black water.

Glad you found the source of the smell!

Invite your friends over for a Chilly during the Super Bowl and by the end of the game you will welcome the musty smell back.

We've had success in eliminating nasty odors in the trailer, car and elsewhere with "Odoban" products. Their website is OdoBan® - Odor Eliminator Products.

That can't be right, Darwin...Vandelay Industries is a Latex import-export business, though there does seem to be a "deport" sideline...at least according to Babu!

Obviously an impostor...the real Art Vandelay is a latex salesman/ importer-exporter.

And since he's also a member of this very forum, I'm sure he'll soon speak up and say so!

After cleaning the "source" it might help to put some charcoal out on newspaper. It will absorb residual smell very well. Just avoid the match light stuff with charcoal starter fluid on it. You want plain old charcoal.

Have used it a few times with good success.
