Antother mystery trailer identification requested:





This is not mine, but I'm looking for one and would like to pass any information on to the owner. The title says it was first regestered in the early '60s. The rear opens up a sink, ice box & cooking area. A side door enters into a full sizes bed with a small storage cabinet. No mfg. is noted on the title or known by the owner. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Based on the size and the tell tail hatch in the back, that is a teardrop trailer. The originals showed up as GIs returned from the WWII. There was surplus aluminum galore and a surge of people getting back to nature.

I venture a guess that inside the cabin area is a wall to wall matress and the rear hatch is a kitchenette? I did a bunch of research on teardrops years ago and was planning on building one but our family grew and now it is a back burner dream. With gas prices going up they are only going to get more and more popular.

Thanks for the info. Yes, this would definately be classified as a teardrop. I searched that site as well as other teardrop sites and found that they almost only focus on the modern and vintage home built variety. What I love about this specific trailer is how light it is. I only have about 50hp to push my vehicle down the road as it is, so I need an ultra feather weight.

It kinda looks like the American Teardrop Outback. Of course, I might say that about any small egg shaped teardrop
