Need air conditioner noise reduction

We have a Dometic roof top air conditioner that is very noisy and vibrates the whole trailer when the condenser comes on. It makes it hard to sleep. Has anyone found a way to reduce air conditioner noise or found a replacement unit that is quieter?

Sorry for the duplicate post. I couldn’t figure out how to delete it.

Short of replacing the whole thing, there is not much you can do.

To reduce noise from any machine: isolation, separation and insulation.
With the unit mounted on the roof, vibration is transmitted to the trailer shell which acts like a big speaker. there should be rubber cushions between the A/C and roof. And the components inside the A/C should have vibration dampers.
The type of compressor used makes a big difference.
If possible, look for a "Quiet" unit.

If you have the Mach8 slimline unit, you can purchase a "hush" kit from OMW(perfectcasita.com) which will cut noise significantly and an outfit called microaire has a "soft start" kit for that inside noise/shaking...If you have never been there, I would highly advise going to casitaforum.com and study up on these items......
