My wife & I are new owners of A 1976 13' Scamp, some one in the past had put battery & and A 12v fuse panel in A sort of A trunk (home made) on the back of the trailer (also houses the spair tire) My question is where would it ( the 12v system) be kept normaly?

However, I would install it in a battery box to protect it from the weather.
My Trillium has propane bottle mounted next to battery box on tongue.

Hi James. We live in North Phoenix and I totally redid a Scamp 13 about 4years ago. I'll be happy to help you if you want to come up and go through what was done on mine or ask questions etc.

Looks just like the configuration on my 1988 16' Scamp... except the battery on my Scamp is in a marine battery box.

James, I'm in the process of restoring a 1976 scamp also. My battery was originally installed under the dinning seat, next to the kitchen. It didn't have any ventilation and I'm moving it behind the propane tank like on the newer models.
