need high quality sound system

We were looking at the Jensen stereo receivers and did not find anything with a signal to noise ratio of better than 70-75. This is not very good, and we were wondering if anyone has installed something different in their rvs.

Can one just install any car stereo, even an in-dash type, into an rv?

Thanks!
Aimee L.

No reason you can not?
They run on 12vdc.
Since we also all have 120vac in there you can stick any system in a trailer you want.

I just got finished yesterday installing a "Higher End" system in a bus.

If you stick with the premium name brand car lines though you will in general get better performance than the 2nd or 3rd tier lines, one of which is Jensen.

I would look at Crutchfeld to get a better idea of what is out there and this weekend a lot of places are having big sales too.

I have a NEW AM/FM cassette car radio I just purchased (May 2011) off EBAY for $10.00 works perfect. I just added 2 speakers I had in garage.
Radio over rear bed ,speaker over front bunk.
