While we were driving back from our camping trip to a state park here in NC, the latch apparently came loose on the little metal door that covers the outside access to the water heater (where you can plug in the electric or light the gas). The latch of course was lost (it apparently just popped loose), the door touched the pavement and a small panel in front of the gas vent was also lost.

Any idea where I can get a replacement for this door (the door is actually in good shape--only the little panel with vents in front of the gas water heater is missing)? I'd also need a new latch.

Call Casita? You have a 2002...doubt the size of the door/panel has changed in the past several years.

Bob,
I'm sure I've seen those at RV Supply stores. Since so many different RV's use the same water heaters, you shouldn't have trouble obtaining a replacement door. Getting only the latch may be a little more difficult.

RV Parts Outlet has the door for $29.70. I got an all-metal latch to replace the original plastic that was destroyed by UV sunlight but can't remember how to find it in the online catalogue. You may need to call.

I can't find that door in the catalog.

Can you link me to it?

I can find Suburban Water heater parts--but I don't seem to find the door there.
