need tail light

I need to replace a broken tail light assembly on my love bug. the back plate of the broken one reads ''reflect-o-lite 110-150''. i can find nothing on the internet. the housing is 6-5/8'' in diameter. here's a photo of the good one. I would appreciate any suggestions for a replacement.<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3e970f585cf09taillight.jpg/>

The big red lite looks like a school bus lite.

Kent,

This is the same type my Burro has. Its going to be tough to find.
Someone on another site ( I think the Boler site) had the mold for these and make up a small batch at a time. But he was asking a ton of money.
I always figured when it came to be my time, I would look into the school bus lights for replacement.

I think it was the antique airstream site I'll take a look....

They just have very expensive alternatives

Do a search for a site called RV Doctor George.
Its an rv salvage place, and he might have used parts
the address is "rvdoctorgeorge.com"
Here's a pic of his lights:

I did a search on the net and found the following on another site:
""Hey again Randy:

Reading this e-mail jogged my memory banks (takes a lot of jogging these
days).

A couple of years ago I happened to stop in at an out of the way RV place in
Arcata, CA. The guy who owned the place was rebuilding a fridge in his
old-time shop while I was talking to him. Might be worth a call. Lots of
stuff laying around. Big yard of old trailers stored there. A real
knowledgeable guy.

I stopped in to see if he had a tail light (Reflect-o-lite 110-150) laying
around. He rummaged around in several drawers and came up with one (very
used). Gave it to me. It's that kind of a place.""

Here's the place I was thinking of. It's a 6.5 inch lens.

thanks

thank you all for your suggestions. i'll look into all of them. i was hoping to be able to get just a lens, but of course this is an odd size and everything seems to be too big or too small. i'll probably have to replace the whole assembly with one that does not match the other side, at least temporarily while i continue the search for a replacement.

i have to tell you that the determining factor to buying my egg was finding this site. it was obvious immediately that i had found a home. i hope to meet some of you out there on the road someday. if any of you come to northern michigan, be sure to look me up.

How nice of you to say that, Kent. We are glad you found us too. Good luck on your tail-light search.
