new hot water heater purchase recommendations?

we are going to replace our 6gal pilot HW tank and I am looking at suburbans options for the

SW6DE Combinations Gas & Electric Water Heater-Direct Spark Ignition

or one with a pilot reignitor:

SW6PER Combinations Gas & Electric Water Heater-Pilot with Reignitor

I'd probably go with the DSI unit because there is little price difference.

I thought about going tankless LP, but one of the models recommended ( i think on this forum) states it is not recommended for showers. ??

decided on the sw6PE. Will have to light the pilot manually, but it will be newer than the vrv6x that we'll be taking out

never could get the anode out. Probably never been replaced!
