I called Scamp today to order some parts for my rebuild and while I had someone on the phone from parts, I asked about cushions. I was told that they are slightly different.
Does anyone have any pics they could post? I'm curious just how different they are.

I know this topic has been touched on, but I have yet to see photos of how the Scamp cushions actually fit in a Boler.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi: Brian... I have pic's if you send me a personal message with your email add. I will send you an invite to view my Flickr photos. I can tell you that we used the org. 4" foams and the Scamp 4" covers. The slight diff. being the cut of the foams which makes the covers fit tighter. Another diff. being the Scamp covers for the dinette backs are made with a hinge so the little ones are att. to the long ones. Not a problem!!! The biggest diff. is the upper front bunk. Boler used 2" foam on the plywood backing and the Scamp covers are 4" so I bought a 3" slab of foam 22X88" + 1" thick Tereleen fiberfill, cut and used spray foam adhesive to make the foam wide enough to cover the plywood carved it to fit with an electric carving knife. Where the hinges are in the plywood I cut 1/2 way up into the foam to allow it to bend easier, covered it edge to edge with the Tereleen stapled to the edge of the plywood slipped it all in the cover and zipped it up!!! Cost of bunk adjustments were $55.00

I called Scamp to ask some questions about cushions. If I order the complete set with
foam, the front top bunk comes with the plywood already inside.

My question(scamp didn't really know)......Will this work in my Boler?
Is there a little "wiggle room" with this top bunk piece?

Can somebody with a Scamp give me some overall dimensions on this piece?

Thanks,
Brian

Just out of curiosity, did you ask them how much it would cost to ship that piece of plywood!? It's heavy.

I haven't gone that far yet. I'm just trying to weigh all my options.
My Boler has no rear benches in it and have to be built. If I build my benches
any way other than stock size, I'd have to get cushions custom made.
That might be more costly than buying and shipping from scamp.

When I have a bit more info, I'll have to make my decision which way to go.

Like I've said before Brian. I've got almost a complete set of cushions out of my Boler American. Actually almost 2 sets. I might be missing the correct front bench seat. I would have to go out and check in the garage to make sure. I know one of the front bench seats I had was an inch or two short on width. You are welcome to them if you want to pay for shipping and make a "pay it forward" donation to FGRV.

You could do your own bunk plywood. You have the correct curve from your bench seat and would only need the measurements to know where to cut the upper bunk for the hinges to fit the curve of the front wall when in the couch position.

Hi: Brian... Our original Boler plywood bunk plate with hinges and wings fit in Scamp cushion covers, as neat as a hand in a glove. The only prob. was Boler used 2" foam Scamp uses 4"foam. It is not an exact fit tight to the wall as the hinged wings fold inwards to fit the curved wall then lay out flat when the bunk is raised.

We did have our cushions made from a place in North Hollywood, CA. It was Melrose Mattress and that's their business - making mattresses. They cut the foam to our specifications, and covered the foam with a fabric that I purchased and took to him. Price was reasonable and we have comfortable cushions.

Is there a place that makes mattresses near you? You might give them a call, if all else fails.
