No insulation?? PROBLEM?

Hi, I am looking at buying a trailer that doesn't have insulation like the ensolite in my boler. From the photos, it simply looks as though the walls are fiberglass and that is that. I like the idea that it is nice and clean, as the ensolite seems grungy absorbing moisture and odors for 35 years and all, but I am concerned that will no insulation that I will be cold.

Thoughts and advice are appreciated.

Thank you!!

Dawn

I suspect that it will be a bit noisy in there. Even though I have little faith in the heat insulation of a thin layer of elephant hide, the sound attenuating value (esp when it is raining!) is quite good.

Thank you Dave. I thought about that too! I am seeing the trailer tonight - so all will be revealed

Thanks again!

Single layer of fiberglass with no insulation? Expect it to be very hot during the day and cold at night and expect to often wake up in the middle of the night because of cold shower... I mean condensation. It's worst than a tent without a fly.

Is it a Burro? Sometimes they have insulation sandwiched between the inner and outer hulls. Even if they don't have insulation, they do pretty well anyway.

Uhaul has double layer walls, with no insulation between. I have not yet had any condensation problems, but haven't camped in winter. It is quiet enough for me. And I love the smooth walls!

I bought it

Well, it's done now

There was insulation, it just looks flat. It's kind of this beet board material, It's like drywall kind of...???

Thanks for your feedback folks! I love this site!

My Fiber Stream never had insulation; the factory just painted the inside of the shell. It had leaked quite badly when I bought it, and I felt it was a GOOD thing that there was no rotten stinking soft material to have to strip out. I wanted to camp, not gut out and rebuild a trailer. While far from perfect, it is quite useable.

I also enjoy listening to the rain.

Send pictures of your trailer, Dawn, including some interior shots!! The interior finish sounds interesting.

Has any body tried this product on the inside of their trailer?

Nansulate Home and Industrial Thermal Insulation and Asset Protection Coatings

I've been researching this product for a while, but I have not actually tried it. YET!

The renovation company that I work at is just waiting for the right house to come along and try a demo house.

I think this could really help our little trailers.

Thoughts?

It's also a double-hull with insulation between: EggCamper Construction, which is waaay different than a single-hull with no insulation.
