No Title No Vin ???

Thanks for the welcome wishes & info so far, my problem is that I obtained this trailer from a friend who had it sitting @ his hunting camp but was going to get rid of it as salvage, I said I liked it & he gavee it to me, after getting it home I started going about getting it legal. I was able to get a tag & registration for it as a salvaged unit, so I can now start going about trying to renovate it. So now problem #2 is how do I find out what year it is when there is no vin # cause the A frame was mostly missing & must be replaced. Thanks & any sugjestions are apprecated. Ps in Fla. A title is not required on a trailer under 2000lbs.

Anything that might have a serial number you might be able to get an idea of when it was built from the manufacture.

I am thinking of axle and applance's or anything else.

I don't have a tag or legal papers for mine either. All
I have is a hand written note feom the guy I got it from. How did you get a salvage title?

oops my mistake, what I ment was a home made, we discused several options but home made was the only one that would fly. I was given a new registration/vin #, that starts out with-No vin #etc,etc. Again sorry. In fla. one only neeeeeeds a reg. no title if it weighs under 2000 lbs. mine came in @ 1840 lbs.
