Option for Original Burro Kitchen Light

We have a 1982 Burro and I removed the original 120v wall-mounted kitchen light since it took up so much space and had a fluorescent bulb. We are trying to decide what to do with the bare wire. It runs to a plug box that runs off shore power. I'm not able to find any lamps that run off 120v that are small enough for the kitchen wall. Should we remove this wire? Attach an outlet to use for small night light or fan? There doesn't seem to be a ground wire, so we are wondering what is the safest thing to do. Any ideas?

You could re-wire to your 12vdc fuse panel and install a 12vdc light fixture.

Hmmm...I don't think our Burro has a 12v fuse panel. The wires for the 12v lights run directly from the battery.

If those wires are from a 120V source it is most likely from the outlet that is in one of your pictures. that outlet has the little push button breaker that is similar to what was in our Uhaul. If you don't find a replacement light you may want to trace the wires back and disconnect them. Are you sure it was a 120 light as our Uhaul had two 12 volt lights that used a fluorescent bulb.

Doesn't need to be back to a 12vdc fuse panel. I'll reword: back to a 12vdc power source.

Thank you. Yes, the wires come from the outlet with a little push button breaker. It was a 120 since the light would not work unless we were plugged in.
