Panoz---I seem to be the queen of the "extras". I have the SUV Napier Sportz tent. We bought it for the Element, and camped once. I haven't sold it because I keep thinking that has to be SOME way I can use it with the camper. It is a nice tent and has the 2 openings.
After getting the camper I wanted a nice screen room. There was one everybody talked about, but it was always sold out, (the Paha Que) so I went with Swiss Gear (as in Swiss Army Knife). It has the screen sides, plus I ordered the wind/privacy panels (3 of them). I LOVE this screen room, it is big and roomy and made a nice addition to our campsite. It weighs 51 pounds, so it is very sturdy.
I also bought a spur of the moment "pop up" screen room at the grocery store. In theory, it is a great idea---take it out of the bag and it just "springs" open (even has a floor). It's a bit of a challenge to return it to the bag, but we get it done. The bad thing is---if there is a breeze--forget it with this one!
Now I'm thinking I would like try adding some "sides" onto my awning, just for a quick, simple extra room (like a dressing/potty room or something.)
Is there a "Mods Anonymous" meeting nearby?!?!?!?!?

I have several swiss gear tents and like the quality, does the swiss gear canopy fit flush up against your camper, at least flush enough to keep out insects? Have you tried to adapt the Napier Sportz to fit the door of your camper? I am seriously considering this campright SUV tent enclosure, I think I can adapt the openeing to fit flush up against my CT13.
SUV Tent | Minivan Tent | Camp Right - RightLine Gear
I read tons of complaints about the pop up canopies, ez up, first up, swiss gear ect. that the plastic corner braces and frame braces break easily and often, it makes me hesitent to spend $100 on something I may have to replace after using 3-5 times. I know that the tent enclosure will be much more durable than the pop ups, but I guess I'll have to take a gamble on fitting it to the camper.

Yes, I believe the Swiss Gear would work flush against the camper---the problem we encounter at this site was THE CAMPING PAD WAS SOLID---almost like cement---opps--we hadn't thought of that before we got there. So we had to move it away from the camper so we could stake it into the ground (at least 3 corners of it!) For that matter---the camper would fit inside the screen room!!!
I haven't tried adapting the Sportz tent (YET), but now that we have a storage garage, I can do/try more things with the camper. There's got to be some way to do it. I think it is a perfect solution! I like the one you are looking at!

I hear your reluctance about spending the money for something that might not hold up! Mine better last longer---it cost about $300 (I think---It's all a blur from last year when I was researching-----------------------)

I see walmart has the swiss gear 10' x 10' for $129 and the screens are $39,
http://www.walmart.com/ip/SwissGear-...i_sku=13228645
the swiss gear seems a little better quality than the first up but who knows, from the reviews it doesn't seem much of a difference. I know for a fact that the EZ up doesn't hold up out in the open to anything much over a 10 mph wind, I have seen two of them fold up like a pretzel at work in gusty winds.

The first up will hold up when assembled and pegged properly. Get the straight side version with the screen sides. Raise the unit, install the screens then peg the legs so they are in the corners of the unstrained screens or wind walls. Peg your walls, then peg your corner ropes in line with the opposite corner. Our first one held up for 3 years till I let someone else put it up and never checked it. Replacement parts are readily available at a relatively low cost.(so I found out too late) The replacement version we picked up in the US this summer was a little lighter than the one we bought in Canada a few years back.

We bought one of the First Up units at Walmart and love it. Picture of it set up. We snug it right up against the trailer and then anchor it. Works great.

Panoz,
We use the First Up, as you can see in the picture. We leave one side of the screens open and balance the frame on the rain gutter-thing that we have wrapped over the top of our Uhaul door. We have the longer Uhaul, but we used this with our previous 13' Burro too, propped against the trailer just like this picture of our Uhaul shows. It keeps most of the bugs out, although this year was so bad for bugs that I had to supplement with bug spray. They hold against a lot of weather and people abuse too. Makes a great extra room. We spend most of our time there when we go camping. Great for partying too. We have a chandelier made from a trouble light that we light up and crack a bottle of wine.
Roy, where do you get replacement parts? I have been looking all over for a blue replacement roof. We are almost in need of a new leg too. We got sand in one leg in CO this summer and cracked the plastic trying to get it down.

I have a few options available on my Cadet.
1) I have a Marti awning and she can make sides for it. This leaves an open bottom. Still pending on this.
2) Screen room snugged up against the side with velcro attachments to hold flush around door to trailer. I have a 10x10 Broadstone.
3) My favourite, Step out of the trailer and you are under the awning, which then leads to the screen room. No bugs, sit out under the awning. Bugs, sit in the screen room. Store cooler etc in screen room.
Sorry no pics.

I am either going to go with the First up with screen (about $120-$150) or going to go with the campright SUV tent for $299.

Cindy---that is awesome! You're a girl after my own heart! Since the theme of my camper is "Coffee Shop"---I bought one of those big planters that looks like a coffee cup and saucer to use as the dogs water bowl. Looks like they are having a big cup of coffee!!
BTW---is that a sign in your camper window??? It looks like a neon sign--or are reflections playing tricks on my eyes??

Oh, I have a blue and orange beaded chandelier made from a trouble light too.
The trouble is, we need to replace the roof of our screenhouse and can't find a blue one. We have a white one; it just does not look right.
The sign is neon. It used to be in a Uhaul dealership; I bought it from a former employee. Hopefully, he acquired it legally.
I am drawing the line at bidding on the Uhaul lifejackets for our canoe though. It probably dates from the 80s too like our trailer but is likely one of those old-style heavy ones (Who knows what it might smell like.). We have blue lifejackets anyway.

OK---that does it! I have a neon coffee cup clock hanging here in my family room---it's going in the camper! (But I need to put in more outlets!)
I hope you can find the blue roof! Hey, let's paint a u-haul stripe on your car!!!

We just wanted a small screen tent to keep out the bugs while we eat or read as well as keep the dogs in . We looked at many but finally chose the 9x9 hootenany screen tent from mountain equiptment co-op , 5 mins to set up and very well built .

Here's a suggestion purely as something to use as an awning effect over the entrance door-it's what I'm gonna use on the little 13' Casita I get next week-I bought a really nice little Texsport suv shade shelter (like the Kelties) only at a fraction of the cost. It's very basic design, just 2 long shock corded poles, makes a great small dome shape off the back or side of your suv! I do alot of dog agility and I get more questions about where did I get it from other competitors and best part was it was only $40. It is not a screen house though, but I think it will work great for my purposes as an overhand for the door
