How do you make replacement carpet stick to the ceiling of a Uhaul 13 footer until the glue dries, or do you use glue or adhesive at all. We are replacing all carpet with a good marine grade carpet, but don't want to tear down until we know how to put up.
3m spray adhesives work very well and quickly. Just a few seconds of pressure will keep it out of gravities hands.
I'll see if I can find the one designed for carpets, but I have held carpets on walls in sound room installations with "3m Foam Fast" . It gets tacky (Well, so do I after a few beers) and sticks great.
Have you considered using contact cement? It's actually a glue. You brush it on both surfaces and let it dry. Then mate the surfaces. Sticks tick tight on contact. Of course you get no chance to reposition it so great care is necessary. Worked for me.
Thanks All! Some really good suggestions. Unfortunately, my carpet has been backordered for at least a week, so I would have had nightly visions of very permanently sticky carpet falling on me and gluing me to the floor. LOL. That would have been a bad dream. With the information that you've given me I shouldn't have those kinds of troubles.
