How much should we have paid for a 2003 21ft. Bigfoot Travel Trailer?

That's a tricky question..

In CDN dollars a 2003 21.5 foot costs about 35 to 40K.

It used to be that things were cheaper stateside. I'm not seeing that as much as we used too lately. So your question is hard for me to answer.

I paid $15,500.00 CDN (about 9700.00 US at the time-Aug 2002)) for my 1995 which has no AC but pretty well most other options available at that time. My trailer is basically mint for the year. We got very lucky. How much did you pay? Do you have any pictures - we would love to see them. :)

I'm not at all sure that I did this right, but here is my attempt to send a photo of our new 21 ft. Bigfoot, Rick

Could someone tell me how to upload a photo? I see the "upload photo" words, but I can't seem to do it. I have tons of photos on my computer taken with a digital camera, but I can't seem to transfer them to this screen. Thanks. Helen

Helen, go to the bottom of the page; open the Basic Website Tutorials folder and read the thread titled Photo uploads. It will explain photo requirements for uploading.

Bigfoot Prices

I just bought a 1999 17ft bigfoot. I paid $19500 CND. I cannot say what a used 21.5 ft would cost new but at the last homeshow I was at, they had the price down at 34K new. So you can get a good deal. What did you pay? Nice trailor!! Wish I had the truck to tow one because thats what we wanted.

21 ft Bigfoot

We were given an $11,000 trade-in allowance for our 2000 17ft. Bigfoot on a 2003 21ft. Bigfoot, all US Dollars. How much in US dollars is $19,500 CDN? We purchased our new Bigfoot in CA while traveling and didn't feel that we got much of a deal, but we wanted it to finish our trip and used 21 Bigfoots are hard to come by. Helen in Gettysburg, PA

19500 CDN = 13399.30 US at a conversion date of 4/15/03

Yes - used 21 footers are hard to come by. There seems to be 10 of the 17's (if not more) for every 21 foot used out for sale.

I noticed Larry gave you the link for conversion:
Tuesday, April 15, 2003
1 US Dollar = 1.45590 Canadian Dollar
1 Canadian Dollar (CAD) = 0.68686 US Dollar (USD)

You should add 2 or 3 percentage points as this is what the bank will typically give you.

If you want a quick and dirty guide: divide by 1.5

Therefore 1.00 US equals 1.50 CDN and visa-versa
