Paint removal on Boler

We recently bought a boler but in its past life someone had painted the bottom black. It looks like someone painted it with a roller and we are having trouble removing the paint. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

I have no personal knowledge of this product, but it says it's for fiberglass and won't hurt the gelcoat: Marine Paint Stripper GL

I'm dealing with the same issue but brush painted not roller. Here's a great link of a review for paint strippers on gel coats.

Practical Sailor

Probably won't due this myself as all my work is in a shared parkade. Might have to tough it out until aI can get projob…or by a house.

I have been using an orbital sander with 80 grit sandpaper to strip the paint from my Trillium. Works well and doesn't make too big a mess, other than dust. Be careful to sand just enough to remove the paint and not remove the gelcoat. Follow that up with a light sand with 120 grit or higher and you should be good to go!

A heat gun with a plastic scraper might be worth a try?

Use a paint stripper
Tal-strip works great and it won't eat gel coat
Neutralizes with water
