Parkliner bunk bed weight limits or other options?

I am trying to find a configuration that fits 3, but no one has to share a bed.

The Parkliner says the bunk beds are for adults or children but doesn't give a weight limit. I have an 18 yr old and an 8 yr old (68 lbs). I would like the boys to be able to use the bunk beds when the older one comes with us.

The other option is the Scamp with a bunk and reinforcing it. The Casita's bunk just looks tiny on the top.

Any help or experience? I don't want to sleep with the young one because he kicks at night.

ParkLiner should be able to tell you the weight limit of the upper bunk, and I can't imagine it won't hold your younger son. Other than that, I think that for at least a few years your younger son might have fun in his own "man cave" on the floor on an air mattress and sleeping bag slide up underneath the primary bed. My nephews loved sleeping in their bottom "cave" in a camper van my parents had set up for double-decker sleeping for a few family vacations. Just don't step on his head or feet (whichever might be sticking out depending on which way he lays) when you get out of bed!

Weight low.. that works for canned goods and kids! Parkliner builds one of the most stout bunkbed models I've seen. But still, the heavy weight needs to be low. I think any child <100 lbs would be fine in any model of all molded towable in the top bunk, beyond that weight... the FLOOR!

Kids are really resilient. I think we worry more about their comfort than is necessary... kinda like pets. They're just glad to be out camping with the folks/grandparents. It's not so much about sleeping comfort as it is as about the experience!

Hello this is Aaron from ParkLiner and I build every bunk bed in our campers and before they leave the shop I climb on the top bunk to test it out . I now have gained a little weight won't tell you how much but let's just say our bunk will hold 200 lbs.
