Hi there, my wife and I recently purchased a 17ft. bigfoot trailer and I need to replace some of the lights and light covers. The only dealership here in Edmonton can't get them, is what they've shared with me.

Any ideas? Internet recommendations?

Cheers,

Thomas

Hi Thomas

If you're talking about Otto Mobiles, I don't think they would be able to help you out much unless you had a very new Bigfoot.

Have you tried Murphy's RV at all? They are located north of you near Josephburg. They used to be south near Leduc and I visited them at that location. They had a LOT of older, hard to find parts. I'm hoping to make a trip there yet this fall.

Their contact info from the Yellow Pages:
Murphy's RV Parts & Service
21338 Twp 550, Josephberg, AB T8L 4B8
Telephone : 780-992-1830

What parts specifically are you looking for? People here have sourced a lot of different items and if they know what you are looking for they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks! I haven't tried them but I will. Otto said they'd get back to me but never did. I'm looking for a marker light assembly, marker light lens, and a lens for the light on the outside handle beside the door.

We just got the trailer last weekend and I haven't completed a thorough inspection but I may need more.

Is this the best place to post or would you recommend the miscellaneous for sale forum?

Cheers!

Thomas, if you're looking for parts... here is good. Miscellaneous For Sale forum isn't viewed as often... and typically only by people looking to buy what's for sale, not so much "wanted." The Care and Feeding forum is also a good place for Q&A.

Thomas, I've found that businesses that supply heavy trucks tend to have a large supply of various clearance lights as well as replacement lenses and combination tail/stoplight fixtures that may be exact replacements for what you need. We're fortunate to have the Iowa 80 truck stop nearby and they have an amazing supply of lights and 12v 'stuff'.

Ah HA! The elusive door handle lens! I need one of those also (for my 17'er). The new door handle assemblies aren't the same size as the older ones. That is on my list to check Murphy's for. Can you let me know if you do find one?

I also need tail light lenses for the 13'er which are a lot different than the ones on the 17' which Murphy's says they stock.

Thomas, what year is your Bigfoot?

They said they had them but also wanted to know the number of screws so be aware of that if you call.

Try Canadian Tire for RV lights or any RV dealer parts dept. I have a BF17CB and a TF20 5th wheel Bigfoot. We just shop RV dealers looking for parts we need.
