perris pacer door

Hi folks, I'm looking for some info on a Perris Pacer door issue. I can't post an pics as my camera just took a dive. The bottom of the door doesn't quite line up with the body of the trailer. In other words it is not flush when closed. Does this sound like an issue with worn out hinges or adjustments. They both appear to be the original ....Also does anyone have a lead on where to get replacement ones. I know this is kinda of a tough issue to respond to without pics, but I could really use some help...Thanks in advance
Alan

Alan, I'm trying to remember... are the hinges like the ones Scamp uses with the brass ball? And no, if its just the bottom of the door that's not fitting well, then replacing a hinge isn't going to help a whole lot. If the door is sagging from the top, then lifting it up may help the door fit better in the whole area, so then fixing the hinges is a good possibility.

Is it possible the bottom of the door is full of water? That seems to be a fairly common occurance in aircraft-style doors.

Just know it's very, very, very doubtful you'll ever find a new door to fit a 30 year old fiberglass trailer. So let's see what we can do to help you fix this one. I know your camera died, but please post pictures when you can.

The Perris pacer door is like a Scamp.
If the face of the door appears reasonably flat all the way down to the point where it starts to curve, then it is likely that you're missing a threshold gasket. there are several ways to fix this, from a simple application of a closed cell self adhesive strip or you could install a house-type aluminum threshold which would be adjustable with a closed cell strip along the front.
